The story

The track opens on almost nothing: a sub-bass pressure sitting at 30-60Hz, felt more than heard, like standing near a closed door behind which something ancient hums. A rebab drone threads in above it, thin and reedy, bowed slow, holding one long tone that barely moves.

Around the second minute the fretless bass enters with its mwah slide, sliding between notes instead of landing on them, giving the low end a voice that sounds almost vocal. Flamenco nylon guitar answers with soft rasgueado strokes, muted and unhurried, never resolving into a full chord, just brushing past one.

Percussion stays minimal throughout: felt taps and muted micro-hits underneath the drone, no rimshots, no clicky edges, just soft-attack pulses that suggest a fire-circle beat heard from outside the circle. Dub-chord stabs surface occasionally, filtered and distant, then fade back into the haze.

By the closing minutes the layers thin again, sub-bass and rebab left alone as they started, the fretless bass sliding one last time into silence. Nothing resolves loudly; the track just stops holding its breath.

Late-night wind-down, meditation or breathwork sessions, incense-lit reading, or the last track before sleep.
