The story

A muffled four-four kick sits under transformer hum and distant hydraulic hiss, like standing near machinery through thick concrete. The midrange stays hollow on purpose, leaving room for the low end to dominate almost two-thirds of the mix.
The duduk enters as a lone wail, pitched high above the murk, its reed tone stretched across a reverb tail that seems to keep going. It trades phrases with a detuned EBM stab and slow bell decays that never fully resolve, giving the phrygian minor its unsettled, processional character.
Midway through, the pit gives way to rise: the reese bass widens, its modulating saws thickening under a tighter dub-echoed kit, hi-hats ticking with tape warmth. Sonar pings cut through the haze at odd intervals, marking distance rather than time, while the drums keep a soft, rounded attack that never turns aggressive.
By the final third the shimmer reverb lifts the duduk an octave up, turning it airy and almost vocal before the sub drops hard on the last downbeats, pulling everything back underwater. It ends the way it began, low, wide, and unresolved.
